Building Campaign News!
We recently learned that our last Sunday service here at Continental Park will be August 27th. Because they have a new tenant lined up, Continental has asked us to vacate our current space by the end of the summer. That means we only have 99 days to make 343 Coral Circle livable! Needless to say, this news came as a bit of a surprise, but let's remember that this wasn’t our first surprise along the way...
- We were surprised to find 343 Coral Circle in the first place!
- We were surprised to see our pledges ($1.6 million and counting) surpass our original goal of $1.2 million!
- We were surprised when Continental graciously allowed us to stay here for only a fraction of the original lease price!
These shouldn't have been surprises! God has clearly had his hand on OCF all along! Each time we feel like we've hit a bump in the road God has faithfully provided for our needs. Let's continue to commit our plans to the Lord and trust that He will provide. It may not always be how we had planned, but remember the wisdom of Proverbs, "Many are the plans in a man's heart, but it is the LORD's purpose that prevails." (Proverbs 19:21)
We have much to do at the new building before the city can approve it for occupancy. So let's commit these next 99 days to prayer. Pray for our building crew as they work hard to finish the build-out, and pray for one another. Pray that we will be characterized by faithfulness, flexibility and gratitude as we travel down the "home" stretch!
