Here is a God with the authority to forgive sin, who does it for love.  Jesus Christ paid for all our sins at the cross.  Our response to Jesus' payment on our behalf is our whole-hearted gratitude, love, and worship.

There are two things to note here about our culture today: 1) Many of us are unwilling to accept that there is a God in heaven who rightfully holds us accountable for our sin, and 2) We may need to be reminded that He is also a God of love, and when we confess our sins and receive forgiveness in Jesus' name, we are truly forgiven.
