Bible Text: Isaiah 59-60 | Chris Robbins
Series: From Kings to the King
Pastor Chris Robbins teaches from Isaiah, chapters 59 and 60 today. God speaks to His chosen people through the prophet Isaiah - reminding them they are in exile because of their iniquities. (See also Psalm 137 and 2 Kings 24:2-4.)
Yet these two chapters of Isaiah also hold hope: As God's people confess, repent and cry out for mercy and justice, the Lord answers with His reminder, "I am the LORD" and promises His peace, righteousness, and salvation to Israel.
Both chapters are a clear picture to us as well. With humility and faith in God, we are to hate what He hates, love what He loves, and seek to bring His wisdom, love and care to those in need all around us.
