Both the 9:00 am and 10:45 am Sunday services have nursery and childcare, and Sunday School classes for pre-school through 5th grade. (Jr High and High School meet during second service only.)
The Children's Ministry seeks to lovingly guide and instruct our children so that they share our church's mission. Babies are cared for in a safe, clean, loving and God-centered environment. Two- and three-year olds have an active, fun environment where they learn about respecting God, His Word and others. Children 4 years through 5th grade receive age-appropriate lessons that are centered on biblical truths, reinforced with practical life application, and enriched by a craft or game.
Verdugo Pines Jr. Winter Camp- January 2010
All kids in the 3rd through 5th grades are invited to attend the Verdugo Pines Jr. Winter Camp January 22 – 24. Children will enjoy music, fun, and winter games. Get your $25 deposit in before January 1 and the total cost of camp is only $90. After January 1 the cost goes up to $115. Transportation is limited to first come, first served. Registration information is available at the Children’s Ministry information counter on Sunday mornings or go to

Vacation Bible School
This year OCF’s Children’s Ministry presented
Crocodile Dock. Children 2 years through 5th grade had a rockin’ time exploring God’s Word as they went on an exciting Bayou adventure. Children Desiring God
The greatest need of the next generations is to know and cherish the infinite value of God. Therefore, we want them to become so saturated with the Word of God that they treasure Jesus alone as the One who saves and satisfies the heart. The goal of our Wednesday night program is to fuel spiritual desire by exalting the greatness and worth of God and His glorious work through Christ.
Our new Wednesday night program Children Desiring God starts September 23 and is from 6:30pm to 8:00pm for children in Kindergarten through 5th Grade. Childcare for children 3 months through pre-school will be provided for families attending one of our Wednesday night Small Groups at the church. Nursery & Childcare
Safe and loving nursery and childcare is provided for all of OCF's church services. Facilities include a play-room and a sleeper's room. All volunteers and nursery workers take a training course and are screened by our Director of Children's Ministries.
Family Communion
The 4th Sunday of each month, children in the 3rd grade and older are encouraged to participate in "Family Communion" by sitting with their parents or caregivers in the main auditorium, joining with the adult congregation for the worship and communion portions of our Sunday service.
