Youth Ministry

Middle School

Middle school is the exciting transition from childhood to adolescence. Students at this age ask the big theological questions so it’s important to bolster their Christian faith with knowledge and understanding. It also helps to have their own space for fellowship with peers!

High School

High school introduces a mix of new experiences, all in preparation for the maturity of adulthood and the independence of college life. It’s important that our students discover who they are in Jesus and find a sense of belonging here at OCF church.

Sunday Mornings

Our middle school students meet during the 11am service. We start in the sanctuary for the opening worship, then head to the youth room for our own message – our teachings line up with the same passages that are being taught the main service.

On Communion Sundays (last Sunday of every month) we do not meet and encourage families to sit and enjoy service together.

Wednesday Evenings

Middle School: 5:30-7:30pm
High School: 6:30-8:30pm

Youth group is a great place for students to plug into community, hear God’s Word, worship, and join Life Groups to discuss the message. Middle school starts the evening first, then shares a crossover time with high school for joint worship and fellowship. High school ends the night with their own teaching and Life Groups, all onsite at OCF.

Serve & Save

This is an opportunity for high school students to come and gain tools on how to evangelize and share the Gospel mixed in with hands on experience in serving others outside of OCF. It will take place on the first Sunday of every month from 12:30pm-2pm.

Hume Lake Summer Camp

Every summer, our middle and high school students have the opportunity to experience Hume Lake Christian Camp—a life-changing week filled with worship, teaching, outdoor adventure, and deep community. Year after year, students return with stories of how God has impacted their faith and friendships in powerful ways.

Registration opens in the spring—keep an eye out so your student doesn’t miss this incredible opportunity!
