OCF Seminar: The Historical Reliability Of The Gospels

OCF // Sunday, September 15th

Christianity is not something we feel.
It’s something that happened.

The integrity of our faith is grounded in the historical activities of Jesus in the Four Gospels. If we cannot trust these narratives, the whole enterprise of historic Christianity comes tumbling down.

The integrity of Mark’s Gospel is particularly important in this regard, because Mark is our earliest written testimony to the person and work of Jesus of Nazareth. Come spend a morning and evening with us, as Pastor Joe (Ph.D. in History from UCLA) considers the reliability of Mark from a historical perspective. Invite your friends, as well!

Among the topics covered:
-TESTIMONY — Can We Trust Mark To Tell Us The Truth About Jesus?
-TRANSMISSION — Do Our Ancient Manuscripts Faithfully Reproduce What Mark Originally Wrote?
-TRANSLATION — Do Our English Bibles Accurately Translate Mark’s Original Greek?
